Simple Pendulum

A pendulum is normally an object that swings on the end of a rod. Since the time a pendulum takes to swing from side to side is always the same, pendulum can be used for keeping time provided that the swings are not too large. Swinging pendulum can be classified into two

1. Compound pendulum
2. Simple pendulum

In a compound pendulum, the weight is distributed evenly throughout the length of the pendulum. A simple pendulum has a Pendulum Weight (bob) suspended on the end of the light cord.
